    HAVE GOT TOS LCD27WL56 I WANT TO CONNECT FROM PC CARD FX5200 WITH DVI OUT TO HDMI IN TO LCD27WL56 HAVE GOT LEAD BUT DOES NOT WORK ANY IDEAS!

    Well, the DVI-HDMI connection is not optimal, you can only use 720p and 1080i. I recommend you use a normal VGA cable and setup a 1366x768 res (or whatever the native res of that screen is).

    :lesson: I HAVE JUST PHONED TOSHIBA AND THEY SAY HDMI AND DVI ARE NOT COMPATABLE THAT CANT BE RIGHT ?

    That's BS. It is compatible and this is a fact. Though, if you're using a PC DVI output and connecting to HDMI input in your Toshiba, there might and will be some issues.

    I have the same set (except it's 32") and the picture through PC DVI-HDMI is bad. VGA input provides very nice picture, so I recommend you to use it, like I said in the previous post.

    I am abit peeved that dvi to hdmi lead cost £60.

    Yeah, I know. I paid a premium for my DVI-HDMI cable too, though I'm now using it with my DVD player so it was actually money well spent :cool:
