OK, I am getting more than a little frustrated with my Toshiba 27WL46 LCD TV. I bought it mainly because I wanted to watch HD on it, and as it has a resolution of 1280x720 (perfect for 720p), then I thought it would do the trick nicely.

However, I am darned if I can get it to display at 1280x720 when fed by either the DVI input or the VGA input. 1024x768 is no problem, but 1280x720, not a chance.

I have learned that as it stands, the DVI input won't display 1280x720, but I am sure I read somewhere that the VGA connector does display 1280x720. Problem is, I have the LCD screen hooked up to my new Roku HD1500 unit via VGA and I cannot get a picture when set to 720p output, though it does display fine at 1024x768.

Can anyone please help me try and get my LCD screen to display at its max res. Surely it's possible otherwise what is the point of making it with a resolution of 1280x720 ? Does anyone else have one of these screens and is having a similar problem ?

    Looking forward to any advice.

    Thanks,
    Kevin.
