    Evening,

Having just purchased a new multiregion 220e for £149 i am still puzzled as to the differences between the "old" 210e apart from the fact that the 220e is a lot smaller and the initial retail price is lower.

Can anyone explain this, as the toshiba site is not very helpful and it would be nice to know what i have just bought (apart from a bargain)!?

    Cheers

I've got a 210e, friend of mine just got 220.

All menus seem the same, remote is the same - picture quality and sound seem the same (we both have same TV).

If there are any differences inside the box they're pretty transparent.

You've just bought a damn fine piece of kit for peanuts Monkey (no pun intended)!!!!!!

    Enjoy.

That pun deserves a reply in itself!
Cheers for the clarification and i have every intention of enjoying by bargain.:D

I bought it new off of ebay, but
www.unbeatable.co.uk has it for £143 plus approx. £7 postage (i'm sure you already know this!)

    Thanks again

I think the new 220 has the latest Zoran Vaddis V chip, which replaces the Vaddis IV which was in the 210.

In theory this fifth generation chip ought to outperform the previous one, although I think the main advances are in adding new capabilities such as DVD-A.
