Toshiba 220 or Yamaha 520?

I had a yam 520.It gave excellent dvd playback picture but I had problems playing vcd svcd &photo discs on it.I now have a dennon 800. dvd picture i don't think is quite as good as the yam but can play more formats except mp3 on GB model
