I recently purchased a multiregion Sony NS300, but am getting annoyed with the pause/delay as the player switches between layers on the DVD. Does the Toshiba have the same feature, as I am seriously considering swapping my Sony?

Most players pause when theres a layer change. The Toshiba is pretty good about a second, but on some discs you dont notice it.

Well, I wouldn't call it a "feature" though, more an annoyance. Unfortunately most players suffer from this, but also the studios are partially at fault if they place the layer change in the middle of a scene instead of between two scenes. At least it would be less noticable then.
There are some players with a buffer though, e.g. Denon, which should make the change invisible.
Yet I don't think it's worth changing the player if else you are satisfied.
