Toshiba 210 and manual region change

    Are there any places that sell modded Toshiba 210s that can have the region changed manually via remote and also have an auto mode. Most places show auto-changing ones. I don't like the sticking a r1 disc in then rce disc option.

    sorry to be dense, but what exactly is the problem with RCE disks and auto region detection ?

    On Auto region machines, if you have been using an R2 disc then you put in the RCE disc, it wont play.

    In some cases you have to put in a Non RCE R1 disc so the player switches to R1, then you´ll be ok to put in the RCE disc with no problems. Other players need a workaround handset hack.

    Basically RCE trips up the player by asking what region its in, if it says R2 it wont play, if it says R1, it will.

    Manual region machines can be switched to R1, R2 etc and have no such problems.
