Tosh42WLT58 - no dvi input

Hi,
I am confused as to what is the best video connection method for hd lcd tv's in general.I had read that component input was best but then read that dvi was equally as good but I note the tosh is missing the dvi.

Can someone explain what is considered best for video and why.

My (potential) set-up is this tv,with Yamaha AV57 audio and also sky+(soon hd) and xbox 360.

I've got this set.

Basically HDMI and DVI are the "new" video connections that have replaced scarts.

They both do the same thing, however, HDMI sockets also carry sound as well.

DVI just carries the picture.

The Tosh has two HDMI sockets, so you can connect a hdmi cable into this set, equally, you can connect a DVi lead, using a readily available DVi to hdmi adaptor.

They are the same, just one does sound as well.
