    Hi

I've got the a tosh xs 34 and I'm finally trying to record on to DVD after working out how to record to HD. My problem is the DVD drive won't accept any of the blank disks I put in. Does the Tosh need special disks?

    Thanks for the help.

PS the ones I've tried are cheap DVD - and DVD+rw

PPS It plays normal dvds fine

The Toshiba records to DVD-RAM, DVD-RW and DVD-R discs. Thus the DVD+RW you have purchased are incompatible as are DVD+R. If your having trouble with cheap DVD-R try using decent branded media - the Toshiba can be a bit fussy over what it accepts.

Sorry, now realise how dumb that question was  I had the DVD's from my computer and didn't think to check.

What makes and where would people suggest getting them from?

    SVP are a good supplier
    http://www.blankdiscshop.co.uk/

I have the XS32, and for -R I've used "{DV 3182} Pack of 5 Verbatim (8x) Pastel Coloured DVD-R (With excellent Taiyo Yuden dye)" and they have never failed.

For -RW, I use "{DV 3133} TDK (1x-2x) Scratch-Proof DVD-RW in Single Amaray DVD Cases"
