The HDMI on my Tosh has packed up, Empire send thier engineer round today. He confirmed its faulty, & that he would have to take it away. :thumbsdow . He advised me the call Empire for a replacement. Which I did.
Empire agreed providing they get the confirmation from the engineer, they will also allow me to upgrade to the Sammy 50" if I pay the difference. :smashin:

I just waiting for Empire to call.

    Hopefully for more blurrrrrrrrrssssssssss

Update.... engineers video tech had called me today, after taking my TV for repair 13 days ago, asking if they can borrow my DVD player and HDMI lead. As they need it to test the TV.

I told them no way. Im not lending them a £50 cable and £700 player.

They called again at 4pm, saying that they will return the TV tomorrow and an engineer will call again to see the fault.

I will have to inform Empire tomorrow and tell them I dont like all this messing about.

    Any advise anybody?

wow i would be worried that a so called "engineer" would need to call up for a lend of a hdmi player and lead. Do they really know what they are doing, seems very strange to me and i wouldnt stand for it. If they mess you about mate i would wave the sale of goods act in there faces. Surely it would fall under the repair of faulty goods within a certian time and level of repair. Anyway i find it strange that a video engineer doesnt have the right tools for the job. :thumbsdow

Well my TV was returned wednesday, the engineer is is coming between 2-4pm today to see the fault, Empire said if the engineer tells me he cannot repair it tell him to inform us from your house.

Ive just tested it by using a hdmi to hdmi lead from both dvhs & dvd player and with my hdmi to dvi lead to pc. Still no picture.

Elephant Man, how about actually READING the suggestion written when you post a new thread to compose a title which is useful? How about using 'Toshiba' and including the model number for a start?
    Honestly, some people :nono:

And how would someone finding your post in a search know that you are referring to a DLP TV? Google wouldn't show this information.
Nobody would find it, anyway because they'd search for 'Toshiba'.
Putting in a useful title is for your own good so people can find your post and reply to it.
As it is, the title is absolutely useless.
Ah well I guess the point will just fly over some people's heads however easy you make it for them.
