tosh sd900e can now do pal prog scan :)

    just read this over at leconcepts an now all i have to do is whait till they get more in stock this week :D

    The Toshiba SD900e Our Multi-Region modification allows Progressive scan on both NTSC and PAL discs

    yawn, isn't this the old convert PAL to NTSC and output progressively trick? And if so the results are awful, better off with interlaced PAL than the pseudo PAL progressive it does

    even says in the advert 'pseudo pal' so it's not proper PAL progressive..

    i sent a e-mail to toshiba today saying now that pal progressive is now legal will there be a pal progessive firmware update for the SD900E.

    Silverback, its allways said that in the ad and it is as andy says "pseudo pal"

    BTW its still a superb player and interlaced pal is extremely good on it :)

    pseudo is pants.

    Just Emailed Toshiba today and had the following reply:-

    :confused: Thank you for your recent enquiry. Please find the information that you requested as follows:

    There are no upgrades available for PAL progressive scan on the SD900E DVD player.
