I tried copying two films one after the other this Sat and Sun. After the first film my machine did not want to record onto disk anymore( started recording then stopped after 30-40 secs saying disk may be damaged or dirty) I tried 5 different makes which I have been using succesfully for some time, but the same result. I tried about 6 hours later and all was OK again.
Anyone else had this problem?
I don't know if the temperature affected it, it was hot,but the casing didn't feel particularly warm.
Or my machine might be going down hill(hope not).

I read someone having same problem with heat caused by stacking it with other equipment - they moved it out of the stack and it's fine now apparently

is it stacked? - is it ventilated (or in a casing/cabinet)? - too near TV maybe

It is in a stacked television stand provided with the Toshiba 32ZP18Q. It reasonably well radiated although it is sunny in that room in the morning, but the RSX32 didn't feel any sort of warmth to touch on the outside. Expect I'll have to wait till the cooler weather and see what happens!
