Tosh ep10 garbled sound

Just got it today and am getting really garbled sound. Have tried different wires, discs, etc. I only have the hdmi lead from the player to the tv (no amp). TV is a Mirai and skyhd works fine when plugged in.

Any ideas if its sortable? The hassle of sending it back would be pretty big for me.

To answer my own question slightly, it is sortable. Looks like the problem will be intermittant as now it's ok.

Still, saves me sending it back

Don't know if this will help, but definitely set the HDMI audio output to PCM Downmix if it is directly driving the display.
