    i am going to buy a toshiba 36zd26 & toshiba sd220e dvd.i have been reading what people have said on progressive scan been sharper ect. but they all talk about ntsc but i only have r2 films.so
    do i need progreesive scan as the sd220e does not have progreesive scan. please help:confused: :confused:

    If you only buy R2 DVDs then no, you won't need progressive scan. Only region 1 DVDs are encoded for it and you need a suitable DVD player and display for it to work. If you decide to import your DVDs then I would strongly suggest you to invest in a good NTSC prog.scan player (Tosh 510) and use it, since the quality jump is breathtaking.

    i will only be getting r2 films so the sd220e will be fine. thanks for the advice:D
