Tosh 500 & MP3

    Can you tell me if the 500 supports MP3 or not ?<br />Toshiba dont mention it on their spec but both the<br />reviews in HCC & HTV&Video state that it does<br />Anyone help ?<br />TIA - Paul <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

    Thanks for that PIL<br />I still cant make my mind up whether to buy a 500 or the newer Panny 71 - The only review I've read wasnt too impressed but it has lots of good features and being a Panny should mean it's gonna be pretty damn good anyway ...<br />At least I know the Tosh will do MP3 which was in doubt - Thanks again ... Paul

    I have a Tosh SD500e and it does indeed play MP3 and also CD-R. Pop an MP3 CD in and press play - in fact I think it loads automatically. MP3 navigation is via the screen, where it will show folders and track listings (scroll through screens to next folder nad up and down for the tracks) and track/folder titles if the disc is encoded that way.<br />MP3 decoding isn't mentioned in their brochure or in the instruction booklet <br />It is also a superb DVD player - fabulous picture. shame they don't appear to be able to make any money - bad marketing perhaps?
