This is when you will realise how much of a good idea it was to buy from Costco.
They basically just said to my brother do you want it exchanged or a refund and that was that, simple.
He even said at first i might exchange for a different brand, and they said well we will just refund you and you can take alook. How refreshing.

Let us know how you get on m8.

    Hi Mine does too!

But i solved it - its the cabinet/stand when temp in the room is increasing or dropping - nothing to be worried about.

Dunno about the teletext thing though.....................

how did you resolve the cracking noise. i have stood by the set and it does seem to be coming from the tv as it seems to be getting more frequent now.

There is something wrong with your set skip, the cracking swan is on about is furniture noise youe get from temperature changes, probably happens once or twice on an evening and comes from the casing/stand area. If you think its coming from the tv and it happens freqently then there is no way i would be leaving it unseen to

if its comming from the set, it could be a serious problem, but bare in mind that these sets have a large but thin plastic back, that will crack with changes in temperature, mine cracks a couple of times after being switched on, but then nothing. does it affect the picture?

No it shouldnt do, all that is happening is that the case is expanding as it gets hotter, it will do the same when it cools down. Totally natural and nothing to worry about all tv sets do it.
