Anyone know the difference between these two models? They are certainly quoted as different models on the Toshiba web-site.

Cheers

The ZP18P had a lot of problems and the ZP18Q is the newer model.

If you have the choice between the two models, pick the "Q"

Would the Q have the solution for the 'dark/light' bands, or is that problem still present?

If I recall correctly the problem is still present but the picture is still a stunning one. Its best to run a search for the ZP18P/Q threads since there were loads of them about.

I've taken delivery of my second 32ZP18Q, my first set had a slight geometry problem and the onboard dolby digital was faulty. The new set has a perfect picture (fingers crossed).

Cheers NewBloke - where did you get it from/how much (if you are happy to share).

Let us know if it has those dreaded 'dark bands'.

ZP18P's have teletext media window (2/5 screen is normal teletext & 3/5 is normal picture), whilst ZP18Q's have standard mix mode teletext (text superimposed over the picture)
