    I have NTL connect to my Song TV with RGB scart. I am about to receive my new toy xs32 in the next few days :clap: Browsing through the online manual shows nothing about cable connection. Can I assume that it would be the same for sat. connection? Any suggestions to the setup? How do I connect my VCR to xs32? Much appreciated for any help.

    Thanks

    Connect the cable box to the AV2 port of the Tosh and the TV to the AV1 port. The RGB signal is looped through.

    There is a tiny bug, in that normally the widescreen pin is looped through but if you are in the process of doing a Rate Conversion dub, the widescreen pin signal output on AV1 mirrors that of the recording being dubbed, not the value on AV2.

    hi guys

    Just got the XS32. Problems already.

    Original set up of NTL (Surrey area) with Sony TV FX68 with 3 scarts

    digibox scart =>TV Av1 (RGB)
    digibox VCR => VCR AV2 VCR AV1 => TV AV3
    digibox RF out => VCR RF in VCR RF out => TV RF in

    No problem. VCR set up recognised all 5 terrestial channels and time set to BBC1 source.

    Now with the XS32

    digibox scart => xs32 AV2 xs32 AV1 => TV AV1 (RGB)
    digibox VCR => VCR AV2 VCR AV1 => TV AV3
    digibox RF out => xs32 RF in xs32 RF out => VCR RF in VCR RF out => TV RF in

    Running the xs32 initial setup, AUTO time/date failed. AUTO channel also failed to pick up all the 5 channels. What's wrong with this?

    I would be grateful for any suggestion/comment.

    Thanks

    Got mine yesterday. The autoscan failed to pick all the channels. So I had to manually scan, worked. The Auto time thing worked after I was tuned in :thumbsup:

    Now I figuring why the xs32 having trouble to read my MP3's on a DVD-R. I have an cheap Argos ALBA TV/DVD combo and that has not trouble in reading it. :mad:

    hi guys

    Have the rdxs32 over a week now. Very please with it. Steep learning curve and take time to figure things out. As for the setup, reconnect using the aerial which I stopped using since having ntl installed. Auto time/date is working now. Just burned a Datawrite Grey 8x DVD-R. It took 20 minutes. No problem but should it take that long? Burned a TDK DVD-RW 2x. Again OK. Tried Verbatim DVD-RW 4x. Failed to recognise. Message: Write protected. Unlock protection. Any suggestion how to unlock please.

    Thanks

    There is now a firmware upgrade available for the Red-Eye translator to enable the RD-XS32 to control Pace 10x0,2000,4000 and Telewest Cable STBs for automatic channel selection for timer recordings.Details here
