Did anyone else set this in the sky planner? When i set this late last week it had down for 90 mins for the two episodes but tonight it only recorded the first part up to 50 mins, grr. I already had king kong recording on moves 10hd but this should not of affected it!

    thanks

Not in HD - but if you just want to catch the end Torchwood is repeated on BBC3 at 1.35 - 3.10 ie. in the next hour.

    Cheers, Dave C.

Didn't you "series link" it ?

Both worked fine on mine.......plus King Kong.

I had torchwood series linked on BBC HD.
I was recording King Kong in HD and torchwood together.

The first episode now listed as "Part Rec" in the planner, schedule changed (45 mins).

I haven't checked to see what I've got yet.

And I was thinking how well things were going with Eastenders series linked and recording during King Kong as well

"Part Rec" doesn't necessarily mean you haven't got the programme recorded. It can come up with that in the planner just because the 'overlap' between recordings wasn't completed fully.

I don't recall having a series link option, so ended up with a 51 min recording.

Ho hum, BBC3 it is for the finale bit.

I had a series link set for Torchwood on HD.

I noticed the series link had gone so set the two - but the link had gone.

I knew the BBC had dropped the series link so added both episode manually to my planner so I could watch SW in HD:)

Both TW eps recorded fine with the second reported as "Clashed" due to the two programmes overlapping with the padding, didn't miss anything:)

Apart from the "invisible bloke swollowing alien eye" episode, i thoroughly enjoyed this show.

When it comes to the "Best HD Bi-sexual Sci-fi adventure set in Wales -2006" category, i'd say that this was the clear winner :D

I'd give it that, but nothing more! I thought the acting was poor, the budget seemed overstretched, some of the dialogue awful (not sure what was worse at times, the delivery or the writing).... I could go on.

Watching the Dr Who Christmas special reminded me why I started watching Torchwood in the first place (not that I thought that was a particularly special show), and how far short Torchwood falls of the "kids" original.

But hey, the HD quality was very good. ;)

I didn't like this series either, whilst I like good HD pq, I'm still watching TV for the content in the main. Torchwood (and Hogwatch, for that matter) didn't 'do' it for me.
