This tread is simply to let all the projector lovers who live in Ireland know that in April the one and only Chris Frost will be coming over to my house in Antrim to set up my projector.

The set up will consist of colour calibration and a full convergence which will take a full day.

If your lucky and ask him nicely he might be prepared to do yours while he`s over.;)

John, whats the cost? was thinking of getting mine done..if you'd rather not post it any chance you'd pm?

Hi mossym,
I`m getting a seleco crt projector calibrated and colour corrected. I'm not sure if I can post the price, if I can and any moderators are reading this post maybe they can let me know and I'll post it on an open forum, if not i'll PM you.

Although Chris is calibrating a crt projector for me I know that he works on all types of projectors and I'm sure if you PM him with your details and requirements he'll be more than to glad to help you and if he does maybe you can post a reply on this thread.

I don't have a problem personally but Chris may as costs involved I'm sure, will be specific to each customer so can i ask you to not post prices on the forum :)
Thanks

thats fair enough, don't want to cheese anyone off. can i ask John11 to pm me on an email address for Chris then?

I don't see that being a problem.

No problem Zone, have set PM.:)

For all those who have been asking, here`s a little more information

coming to Ireland (N & Rep)
colour calibration for all types of projectors and flat panel TVs
Specialist knowledge on Seleco CRT projectors.
Planned to fly in, but if we have just three more people sign up for calibration then it's possible for him to drive over and bring more gear - sound calibration, acoustic treatment, scalers etc.

If anyone wishes to contact Chris by PM for more details his user name is Chris Frost.

i'm up for this ... already sent chris an email from here ... but no response:suicide:

Let hope we get a few more and maybe the van will be on its way.

Think this is a little sad but just for you "Top projector calibrator coming to NORTHERN IRELAND";)

Did not mean it in a political manner John, as that would be sad indeed. It's geological difference between him coming to one county or another.

If I lived in Scotland and the top of Scotland at that (as Antrim is the north half of Northern Ireland) and said to a load of fellas on a forum who lived in England “Top projector man coming to England” this would be false info, as England is not the same country, it's simply a British country within the U.K connected onto Scotland by land.

So if someone from Republic of Ireland who lived in Cork wanted this fella to look over their projector, the man would have a 6-7 hour train/bus ride to get from you to him and would have to cross into a different country, where they have a different monetary system (currency) Government and laws within.

Northern is not a region within Ireland, it's a country within the U.K :smashin:

Hey guys,

Since you're mentioning Ireland ...............
I want to buy a projector for like 700 roughly, gthe Optoma HD65 looked good but is hard to get.

Where in the Republic can you get a projector ?? Dublin is def very bad for them. Theres a Currys in Newry which I'l be near next weekend so might try there but generally, any suggestions?

Cheers

Oh for goodness sake!

I'm coming to Northern AND Southern; and I'm quite capable of making my own journey plan once there. Can you stop nit picking now?

Thank you very much

Just to let all interested parties know,

my intention is to book a flight for Chris in the next couple of days.

Those of you who are interested would need to contact Chris asap.
