Whoever he is I think that he is faster than the old one so all their times are no longer accurate.

I remember reading in the telegraph about the stigs, they arent big stars, one of them is possibly a former F1 driver but no one interesting.

I ahd a feeling that the Stig was someone who had a contract issue that meant they could appear on TV or similar, thought at one time it could have been damon hill.

I think you said it all, "some chappy"!

By having stigs it will be cheap because they can use nobody drivers-who are obviously talented!

Flat Out , Flat Broke : Formula One The Hard Way ! Perry McCarthy's best selling motorsport book is both interesting and very entertaining, as is the man himself.
I remember him in F1, and he's been successful in other events too, he also does commentary here and abroad.
Buy his book if you like car racing thingys.
He was definitely one of the previous Stigs, maybe he'll do some more anyway, I've no idea who the new Stig is, possibly it is Nicolas Minassian, French F3000 driver, once sponsored by Top Gear.
Not sure new Stiq quicker either.

Perry Mcarthy as well as having the misfortune to drive the awful Andrea Moda F1 car(which rarely made it to the grid let alone qualified)has sustained himself with sportscar drives incl Le Mans.
Rather a pity that Top Gear don't get hold of a real Stig in the form of Stig Blomquist who really would give their cars a bit of a work-out.....one of that Stig's more recent rides was a Pikes Peak hillclimb racer...and RS200 with 850bhp and 0-140 in 7s...now that's a fast car!
