Does anyone make a WS TV with high-end picture quality but only basic stereo sound?

I ask this because, like many of you, I have a seperate receiver + speakers, and I would like a good picture without having to pay for onboard DD or surround.

My Panasonic 32" Tau has no advanced processing and I use an external amp.

I don't know if a high-end TV will be cheaper though because of no processing???

    :p :p :p :p :p

My Panny 32PK-1 was bought precisely because it had no fancy sound, just plain old Nicam. The only time we ever hear the sound from the TV is if I have to prove to someone how bad TV sound is (even from a half decent set). Don't know if you can still get that model: it was just shy of a grand exactly 1 year ago.

    Trust me...

JVC 32WF1EKS is the dogs b***ocks!!

Had mine for 6 months and would challenge anybody to show me a better 32" flat widescreen picture. Only has Nicam, which is all I wanted and you too I guess.

Go and have a look, also reviewed in a number of HC mags recently.

Best bit....I paid about £750 plus delivery for mine.

    Good luck
