OK, but I want to use my Audia CD One and the G68 has no analog bypass.

If you want a decent analogue bypass, how about the Bryston SP1.7 ?

The quality of A/D conversion in the Meridian's input stage is impeccable. Don't dismiss it on this. The benefits of having your CDs signal digitised by the Meridian, far out-weigh any negatives you may think there might be. :)

I vill review all options; but both Bryston SP1.7 and Meridian G68J cost about 4500£ here in Denmark, the Lexicon MC-4 is 1000£ cheaper and Arcam AV8 cost only 3300£ :) and I think I can get the Lex for the same.

My gear is in silver/aluminium so I don't think Naim vill fit in.

No experience whit the Audionet map 1 compared to the lex. f.ex.

Naim offers a silver "costume" for it's av series :)
But I've never seen it. Anyhow, enjoy your demoing and let us hear what you think of them. I guess, if you have the funds, then the £2300 Naim is "cheap" and you can go higher up the food chain ;)

In a test of a (German) Burmeister AV-preamp for 15.000,- Euro the German Video (oct. 2005) states that the Burmeister and the MAP 1 are equal in surround and that the B. is only (slightly) better in CD analogue.

I think my Halo C2 (£2000) & Halo A52 (£1300) is great. Lots of features (upto 9.3)and a good bypass. The poweramp is excellant.

Very, very interesting, do you have a link to the test.
It must be a bargain to a price on 3500€ (2350£)

Hmmm. Said so in the newsletter a year ago http://www.naim-audio.com/download/newsletter_autumn_2004.pdf

quote from the newsletter "THE PARTY PACK...
For those who need something shiny, perhaps
to match a new plasma screen, the Party Pack
is a simple, fun, clip-on aesthetic update that helps 5 Series
products match silver finished equipment. It can, of course, be
easily removed - keeping your Naim true to form."

Yes, it's just a little silver show-off. I never actually saw one in any shop. Maybe it was never released or is overprised. Don't know.
