What are your favourite 3 megadrive games, pretty simple really!

    mine would go:

    1) Streets of Rage 2 - one of the best games ever, its way too fun to play, an awesome game.

    2) Sonic 2 - classic platforming action from Sega, it just comes together perfectly.

    3) Gunstar Heroes - awesome run and gun game from Treasure, stunning, with an awesome weapon system and mind blowing bosses!

    1. Flashback - pre-dated Half-Life.
    2. Quackshot - some tricky puzzles and very entertaining.
    3. Sonic The Hedgehog - when it first came out it was something original and different.

Rocket Knight Adventures and Earthworm Jim really good too.

This thread is bringing back some great memories!

Road Rash 2, Sonic, Streets of Rage 2, Desert Strike and its sequal (Jungle Strike?) were excellent games, must have played them many many times. Still all sitting in my loft.

Gauntlet IV - Awesome conversion with great multiplayer RPG Mode
Ghouls & Ghosts - Superb, addictive & hard platform action with great graphics
Tatsujin - Excellent top down shooter, played it loads when it came out

    Honourable mentions to :

Streets of Rage 2, Hellfire, Thunderforce 4, Gunstar Heroes, Mega Bomberman, PGA Golf, Sensi Soccer, Strider and many others.

Superb console which is why I always have one connected to my games TV these days.

This is a great thread for me.

Just managed to pick up a megadrive for peanuts.

Comes with Sonic, outrun and Lemmings and two control pads.

Just need to find streets of Rage as i used to luv that game

have to try and get Golden Axe that rocked!

no. that was a rumour when people first saw pics of the saturn, the cart slot at the back (mainly used for ram expansions in reality) was rumoured to be a slot for MD games, it wasnt though!

    My 2 pence:

    1) Revenge of Shinobi (Excellent Music)
    2) Ghouls n Ghosts (Great graphics at the time and was the most expensive game when it came out)
    3) Le Hedgehog Sonic (Shows what the Moto 6800 could really do)

Mortal Kombat for me, a great game (and the fact that my parents hated me playing it made the fun all the more enjoyable!)

No mention of Micro Machines. That has to be in the top three for me. I loved the version that had the extra control ports on the cart. 4 friend playing that was great fun :)

I do like buying from e-bay though, nice prices :0

    As for the list:

1.) Olympic Gold - loved it in the 80's, still tons of fun if you get 4 friends to the pads and play against each other
2.) Sonic 2 - The best sonic in my opinion
3.) Road Rash 2 , Mortal Combat, After Burner 2, etc etc. :)
