    Hi guys

Well after days of Umming & Arring I decided to take the plunge and buy an Onkyo TX-SR505E. Got it for £249.99 from Amazon. Is there anything I should look out for once I come to set it up.

The rest of my components are a Samsung LE40M87BDX, Sky HD, PS3 (mainly for the Blu Ray), I just need to get a set of surround speakers now.

Any advice appreciated, as I am new to home cinema setups...

You'll need optical cables from Sky and PS3 to the Amp. Also need to go into the Sky services menu and change the sound settings to allow Dolby Digital output.

It is up to you if you want to connect Sky and PS3 via HDMI to the amp then Amp to TV using HDMI or just connect them directly to the TV via HDMI. Only advantage of going through the amp is to make switching easier.

What is your budget for speakers - do you want suggestions?
