Here's a couple of examples, but I've seen lots of privately sold cars, giving email addresses for contact. These cars all seem to be going cheaper than I would expect... is this some kind of scam they're all into?

hmm it does raise alarm bells for me when it says contact me on " celia_johnson at msn dot com"

If you search virtually any brand there'll be one or two which are significantly cheaper than the rest. They'll meet you to look at the car and rob you. Steer well clear.

Exactly what Hitby said. They will more than likely rob you when you come to look at it. Seems far too good to be true and I would stay well clear.

Someone somewhere will see the car, see the BBC news report and refuse to accept its a con because 'they are just scaremongers, won't happen to me' arrange to buy the car and wallop.

If certain people had brains crime would go down.
