Good morning - I would be grateful for some input to my problem - I have a TomTom One and when I attach it to my computer, to update the maps, my computer doesn't recognise it. I have carried out the correct procedures( I hope ). I have TomTom Home on my comp. I attach it correctly when asked to, it is switched on, the battery is fully charged and I plug it into the mains. My computer recognises other hardware when attached. I run Windows XP Pro and all updates. - Thank you for your time - Claire

If you haven't already done so, try downloading the latest version of Home.

Personally I dont reckon TomTom and pc's work together that well. I connect my 910 and have similar problems to you every time I do. I dont think there is a particular solution to be honest. I usually have to unplug and re-plug it back in a couple of times before it picks it up. Usually the unit needs re-setting when its disconnected too. You wont have to connect it that often for maps anyway will you? I would be inclined to connect it as little as I had to!

My tomtom home would not work with Kerio firewall installed, emailed tomtom support and it was them who told me that. Changed firewall and all is fine. I would recomend emailing tomtom as they were quite helpful.

Good morning - The answer was to "reset" my TomTom while it was connected to my computer and everything was switched on !!!
