    I'd like to add this disc to my collection and was wondering which is the best region to buy and for what reasons in terms of extras etc?

    Region 1 is uncut. (the headbutt is left in).


    Extras are usual Making of...., Stunts Docu, Delelted scenes along with a short docu on the TR Games. Dunno what R2 will have but I doubt it will be more than the R1 disc.

    Not bad but not A++ either.



    Film is OK(ish) but lacks the humour and action that Indiana Jones had.

    well , you might have to go R1 if you want it now, don't know what the R2 will have and the R4 is Rental Only on Dec 14th

    There's also the good old "glorification of knives as weapons" that means a few more frames have been cut out of the UK version too. Essentially both versions are the same, and I hear they've actually bothered to either re-synch the audio commentary or record a new one for the UK disc as Simon West didn't want the UK audience to miss out.
    I liked TR myself, far more than the other Summer movies, although that's not to say its any good, more that it fills that "mindlessly entertaining and easy to absorb" gap. It could have been a lot better.
    I've gone for the R1 version as I'm not fond of the nanny state.
