When did new games get so cheap? Tomb Raider: Legend is available for pre-order over at Sendit.com for £17.99 (free P+P). I was planning on getting this for the Xbox 360 but according to the latest IGN comments the PC version sounds as though it might have a slight edge graphically.

    The very reason I don't have a 360!

    Most PC games £18-£30 max..what's a 360 game £45-£50

All 360 games are 39.97 at Tesco and the 360 can run the game in hi-def on my 42 inch screen which my PC cant, My Dell xps2 laptop is two grand worth of kit and while it can run games at a much higher resolution it cant compete now in my opinion with a 360 that can be bought for less than three hundred pounds.

Why not plug your laptop's output into your high def screen?

Sendit have been doing this consistently for a while now even stretching back to march 05 i got chaos theory for £17.99 and it came 2 days before release day. Seems like another bargain to me :)

May pick this up on pc but my 6800Ultra is aging now as was shown by oblivion :suicide:

I paid 30 pounds for this for the 360. Cheapest game so far. Still a fair bit more than the pc version though. I've not paid more than 40 pounds for any 360 game including the oblivion collectors edition. Unless you choose to be ripped off by the highstreet games retailer you won't pay more than 40 pounds for a 360 game.

The reason 360 games are more expensive than PC games is because MS have to make their money through game sales. Personally I think 279 pounds + 10 pounds more a game is better value than 1500 ish pounds.

That said I have both and will spend a similar ammount on a new PC when Vista launches if I can hold on that long.

I'd always choose to play mmorpgs, strategy games and RTS's on the PC and racing, sports, platform etc etc games on the console. Although my PC is near 3 years old now so the 360 is getting the vast majority of my game purchases. Acheivements are great fun too.

    xbox360 prices/graphics are ridiculous.

    its basically an xbox 1.5.

but most importantly of all, pc games look better than on the 360 and are twice as cheap, madness :rotfl:
