Any good? noticed that its £17.99 on play worth it or not?
i was considering buying it but at that price im gonan buy is right now. that is so cheap for a newish game.
It is a good price, but im not sure if i would like it.
anyone have any thoughts?
Take a look at the Online Gaming forum. This one has been done to death At £17.99 it is an absolute steal and I just don't know how Play can do it.
I was just reading through the thread when you posted. But there is no real mention of what the single player is like, and as i dont have Live or broadband yet, that was what i was interested in.
The single player is excellent. You can do missions/campaigns with the AI team or do Terrorist hunts etc. Worth it for sp alone but really comes into it's own on Live.
As I already posted it's a steal at £17.99 even without the Live option. That's about as cheap as any PS2 or Xbox games get so really don't know what you're waiting for.
The single player is pretty good, but NOT if you are a gung ho freak who just likes blowing sheeeeeeeet up! Its more tactical, I like to play this and balance it out with HOTD 3 or something like that!
the game is fantastic and at £17.99 if you dont like it im sure game will give you more than what you payed for it.
At full price the game offers value for money. At Play's price it's a steal, you'd be mad to miss it.
From a single player perspective:
I'll second what has already been said. If you like fps, you really would be mad to miss it.
Like any game, it take a little while to be really fluent with the controls, get to grips and get your teeth into things - but once you do - it's a fantastic fun, atmospheric and has good realism.
They've done a very good job with the Dolby surround too - home cinema owners will love it. I fully recommend it.
Now £29.99 & out of stock
Ordered it over the weekend for £17.99 though, along with Xiii
Hope it's in stock soon & delivered before Christmas.
The price has gone back up now, and i missed it
and it drops again!!!
GAME are selling it for £20 when you buy anything else in-store.
if you really dont want to buy anything else just get a dvd gift wrap thing for £1.49 and get the rainbow six cheap
BG&E is also £20, along with Colin Mcrea 4 and SW: Rogue Squad III.
so 2 games for the price of one? not too shabby.
So would you say it is similar to Splinter Cell in respects to Missions and playability???
no. splinter cell you arent really meant to kill people. in RB6 you can kill most ememies. much more action and more tactics involved.
its also really satisfying to kill people in it. nice rag doll effects, blood splatters against objects in the direction the bullit came from and the guns feel solid and real.
proabably the best team shooting game around.
Cool, just have to wait now till Christmas day until I start my killing spree!!!
Has anyone tried playing this with the voice-recognition? It just doesn't work.
It recognises about one in three commands (and you certainly can't rely on it anytime critical).
Some orders, such as "demo up" or "zulu go" it just NEVER seems to understand, no matter how quickly, slowly, STOOOPIDLY I say them.
Otherwise, it's a great game.
I went into a Game store today and this offer wasnt there.
still online though
It's £19.99 from Toys'r'us if it helps anyone. They also have lots of titles from £4.99 in-store.
hmmm, as far as i am aware its a company wide offer.
go back and tell them to update there marketing the lazy goats
ah well, plenty of other places to get it from.
Try your best John Wayne impersonation
*drawling* that'll be the day....
Just finsihed playing Rsix3 and enjoyed it. It's far less difficult than SplinterCell although you have to utilise a degree of the stealth used in SC. The only thing that slows you down is the option to use only 3 game saves on each mission. Although in hindsight they are ample, the skill is knowing when to use them so you could end up repeating sections of the mission which can be frustrating. I played it over 2 weeks, whereas SC took me much longer. At £20 it'd def b worth buying.
