I am looking to buy a full av setup for my new home as described on a previous post: http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=214974 but according to AVLand there are some new Pio amps coming out in October to replace 1014 and 2014 and are to include hdmi switching. I have seen 1014 and 2014 going for great prices at the moment but would have to buy an HDMI switcher to twitch between pc, hdtv (when it comes) and dvd. I want to try and futureproof as much as possible because i'd like to write the cost of this setup over the next 5 years at least really. I have also spotted the Yamaha range and been reading 10s of threads on these forums regarding yam vs pio but am still reallynone the wiser. I am after a 25% music 40% tv 35% dvd system to work with B&W FPM4s (LCR) and FPM2s (Surround) My budget is flexible but I dont want to spend any money I dont need to. My current thoughts are with the 1014, but may wait for new range if you guys think it's worth it. I imagine there will be a price hike too. I have been offered a few schools of thought on SACD/DVDA as to using iLink ot make the amp do the decoding or let the player do the work, same goes for 2ch CD audio, I will be using a Denon 2910 player. Any suggestions are really welcome, thanks.
