    hi

i own a pair of ruark cl20 (floorstanding) speakers and i wondered whether or not to use my sub (rel strata III) while listening to music - as i think the speakers are pretty descent sounding as they are - and i dont really wanna create an unnatural deep bass sound that needs adjusting everytime i put a different album on. i just wondered if anyone had any ideas or opinions about this.

    thnx :)

Depends, if your room is big, then you can use them- dial to around the same frequency as your Ruarks (say 40hz), and set to quite a low volume- not pronounced.

Probably need to adjust the subwoofer crossover slightly, as the room will effect the Ruark's bass characteristic.

    Suck em and see.
