I've finally managed to calibrate my dB levels for each of my speakers to 85dB using a digital RadioShack SPL meter - the meter is set to 'C-Weighting' with the respone set to 'Slow' - and here are my complete dB settings for each speaker:

    Front L: +12dB
    Front C: +12dB
    Front R: +12dB
    Rear L: +11dB
    Rear R: +09dB
    Subwoofer: -05dB

Does anyone else have similar settings to mine?

Please posts your settings here because it would be interesting to see how each setting differs from one another.

I´ve set mine to 75db. Meter set to C-Weighting, Slow response. Using the AVIA setup disc.

    FL: 0db
    FR: 0db
    C: 0db
    SL: -3db
    SR: -3db
    SB: -6db
    SUB: -8db

Readings will depend on Speaker Sensitivity, impedance etc and the equipment people have.

If they were set to 85db they´d all be 10db higher, so tk2001, yours are ok. As long as they are all balanced in relation to each other.

    cheers
