Hi guys i have a Sony Pc100E dv camcorder. I'm using Pinnacle Studio 8 to capture.

I tried Tmpenc with settings found on dvdrhelp.com to make a PAL dvd compliant mpeg2. However the resulting file has jerky movements with quick left/right pans. I thought it could be a interlace problem so i swapped the settings of bottom field to top field but the results were the same.

I tried rendering the file using studio 8 and that came out fine.

Can anyone mail me a tmpenc template they use to get good results to make a DV capture to DVD mpeg2 ?

    thxs for the help.:smashin:

    Er yes and no!

Sorry had to do that, expanding further, if I import via firewire to a DV-AVI file using Ulead Video Studio 7 then edit + save out a DV-AVI file that file shows the jagged vertical edges if I watch it on the PC. After I then use TMPPEnc+ to make a DVD MPEG2 it looks great on the TV and on the PC too.

So are you getting the "jaggies" on the PC or the TV?
