Just recieved a reply from TM as to when the DTS discrete upgrade will be available and how much it will cost. This is what they said "To upgrade your unit to include DTS-ES Discrete and Neo:6, will require a simple option code, similar to the Pro Logic II option code." And this comes in a price of £99, plus Ill have to buy the cable to download the new operating software to 3.5 at £70 cheap, I think not. Then I need a new amp to power the two channels. £200+ and speakers £200+ Not forgeting some sofware say 5 DTS 6.1 DVD's at £17=£85 That makes a grand total of £655. All this and I've just told the Misses I'm not going to spend any more money on my HC. I hope I don't go to hell for this...

At least you get the option of adding future upgrades to Tag's kit, unlike every other AV company.
You don't have to get the Tag Tronic Programming cable, just take your amp to your dealer and they will upgrade it for you :)

Let the Tag dealer do it all for you and extra amp channels for the rear don't need to be super high quality (secondhand stereo?), it is the L, R and C that are important IMHO and you are not changing those. It will not be as expensive as you think. 7.1 is sooo much better than 5.1, the only discenters are those with 5.1;)
