If I already have a regular satalite receiver and I get a regular Tivo, how will it change channels on the receiver for recording?

An IR emitter plugs into the back of the TIVO and is placed over the IR receiver on the sat box.

The TIVO then issues the IR commands to change channel via the emitter.

TiVo can also transmit a signal from the front of the box that will bounce back to the digibox, so you don't need to stick transmitters on the front or even have the digibox close to TiVo.

    Mark.
