    Hello,

I use a HTPC for many things including capturing digital TV on a TV-100 card from s-video and showing it with Dscalar. I have found myself recently wanting to record certain programs off the TV, but I would like the functionality of a TIVO. By this I mean I would like the recorder to be intelligent and grab every episode of a series, even if the time changes etc. I would also like it to control my cable digital box, and change the channel when appropriate etc.

Is there some software out there that can do this on a PC?

    Cheers

    Rob

    NO!
AFAIK TiVo (& it's software) is unique in it's ability to record every episode of a series even if rescheduled.
