Film quality considerations to one side , is there ever going to be a "deluxe" version of Titanic released ? I've only ever seen what I would call a cheapie release with little in the way of extras etc. Given that last time I looked it was the biggest grossing film of all time - it seems ill served by it's current release version.

Heck - I can a buy a deluxe version of "Pearl Harbour"

The "cheapie release" of which you speak, when it first came out, was one of the most expensive titles on the UK shelves. There's little doubt it was a massive marketing gaffe by Fox - they sold very few copies given the "stature" of the film. And they should never have put it out without an anamorphic transfer.

I've read elsewhere that Fox Italy have announced a 4-disc SE. It seems probable that Fox elsewhere will follow.
