    MonkeyBoy,

Isn't that a contradiction, or are you simply saying that you hated it?!

It was, well, okay only. Expected more and I found the mix between traditional animation and CGI somewhat akward, though the CGIs did of course look great.
But somehow the movie didn't make me want to see it again, perhaps it still had to many childish elements in it - but I am quite happy that there was no singing and dancing like in those bloody Disney movies.
On the other hand perhaps my expectations were too high!?

Conclusion: Will not buy it on DVD.

I to didn't think the mixture of traditional animation techniques and CGI gelled too well either. The CGI work was great but overall the film was dissapointing.

At the end of the day you have to watch it and make your own mine up. Personally I would buy Tranformers the movie.

I actually enjoyed it, ok it wasn't fantastic but the action was pretty much relentless, it looked amazing and the sound was....well one of THE best. See my "Titan A.E Best sounding disc yet" thread.

I'll watch it again - well worth the £17

    Pretty crap actually.

In hindsight I should not have bought it.
I hear that the Bluth Animation studios are no longer with us anymore.

    Nuff said.

Now Tarzan.....that IS a good cartoon.

Well I liked it (but I am easily pleased..lol).

Went to see it at the cinema and really enjoyed it.

Gotta agree that the CG and animation dont gell too well at times, but it still makes for some impressive sequences in the movie.

The story line is very 'kidy' but for an hour and a bit of escapist fun it is great!

The DVD landed a few days ago and I have to say that the DTS soundtrack is awsome!!
I agree that it is def up there as one of the best sounding discs available.

I got Transformers today (along with Titan AE, but i haven't watched it yet, so i can't comment), and it's not Optimus Prime that says sh!t, it's Danny's father.. can't remember his name now...

.. and now i can comment. I loved it. I spose like Jason i'm easliy pleased. =) I never got to see it in the cinema coz my local decided not to show it. ([email protected]!). So I've watched two animation classics today, Transformers and Titan AE, and they're both fantastic. Some of the fx in T:AE were gorgeous, the wake angels scene espesh.
