Tiscali Broardband & XBOX Live

Hi all,

Thinking about using Tiscali's Broadband service & going 'live'.

Has anyone had any problems with their service whilst using XBOX Live?

I have read up on this forum regards some people having trouble setting up 'XBOX Live', luckily for me my XBOX & PC will be in close proximity.

Can anyone correct me if I'm wrong but once I have broadband all I will need to do is to connect my XBOX directly to the modem & follow through the setup procedure?

Thanks all.

I'm still having problems getting my Xbox live off the ground, I use Tiscali for my broadband service. However I have contacted Tiscali about my problems and they assure me that they do support Xbox Live and that they don't charge extra for the console bandwidth, as aparently a few of the ISP's do:eek:
To be fair I don't think that Tiscali are responsible for the problems I'm having, infact on the whole I've been pretty happy with their service. I'll keep trying, one day I'll get there

Ok, I have finally realised that all I need is to use a cable modem as Tiscali is a USB modem.

So, Blueyonder here I come!

Got mine up & runnin BTW, using ICS for the time being so I just bought a cheap crossover cable from ebay, nice lond 15 metre joby, was only £6 inc. postage, so I can now confirm all works fine with Tiscali, although you're right, Tiscali do supply you with a USB modem.
Just awaiting delivery of my Live starter kit from Amazon, 'till then it's PS2 twisted metal black online ;)

Judging by the increasing amount of negative comments that I've read on Adslguide and the Xbox Forum about Tiscali, I'd say you're decision to go with Blueyonder was a good one.
