    Hi,

Can anybody recommend a small portable projector with XGA (ish) resolution. This would be primarily for presentations etc.

Only really need VGA input, no speakers required.

    Thanks.

I've got an NEC LT75Z projector that meets your requirements. It's no longer made but if you look around you'll be able to find one second hand.

These days I only use mine for Powerpoint presentations but a few years back it was a reasonably competitive low cost projector for home cinema. It is genuinely tiny in size so carrying it to a meeting along with a laptop isn't back breaking. It's dlp, has a vga input and has an 800 x 600 resolution. If you need higher resolution there is the otherwise similar LT150Z. The cooling fan is a bit noisy but otherwise the machine works well. I've had mine for nearly 5 years of carting around and have had no problems.

Thanks guys. Will look at the dell and the latest NEC models around.

Will make an informed guess then.

    Cheers.

there are many 800x600 led projectors coming out @ around £700, may not be bright enough but they seem quite good from what i've read

and they fit on the palm of your hand

Take a look at the NEC LT20 or Optoma EP729, both are 1kg, XGA, 1500+ ANSI Lumens and both have a 3 year loan support warranty.
