i havent found anything wrong with the screen and the accessories (dvd recorder etc), in fact im very happy with mine especially when i think that loads of people have spent loads more than me and have no better quality, the problem is not with the products they sell its that tiny sell them, i personnally would never deal with tiny again, i would rather not buy the product at all if i had to purcase it from tiny.

any how i have a tiny screen which im happy with and it was a bargain, theres a review in essential hifi and home cinema mag and for the record it gets 4 out of 5 stars which is quite justified.
    matt.

Just one simple question..... if you are happy with your TV, and have had no problems with it, why do you say you would not deal with Tiny again ? The reason I ask is that most people are unaware of how good the customer service of any company is, until they have had reason to use it.

The Techwood Plasma in either Currys or Comet looks very similar to the tiny and at the same price.......... Why not buy this and get by the reported bad CS of Tiny?

    nick uk,
the reason i have used the tiny customer service line is to track down when it would arrive etc etc, (for the supply of my order), the products have been ok.but the dates i was given for delivery i was let down on, and didnt receive everything when i should have.

    mep,
the review is in the latest 'essential hifi and hc' mag not on line as far as i know.

    matt.

No i dont work for them or have anything to do with them, the reason i ask is i am new to the plasma scene, and like everyone i have seen the tiny plasmas in the shops and i thought they looked ok. Until i got involved with this forum, so i have listened to everyone call them every name under the sun. so was only wondering if they are as bad as people say. had i not come across this forum i would have probably bought one. now with my budget everyone says go for the panny pw7 42" ,
but everytime i have seen them in the shops the pq look poor crap.and i have been to a couple of shops and seen the demos.
And everytime i see it, i am put of it.
So i am thinking that everyone on here is a purist, and look to sqeeze everything out of there plasmas and thats fine with me, all i want is one that has as good a picture as my tv.
now i have turned my attention to the Hyundai HPT4250 ( not everyones cup of tea ). I have seen this in action in powerhouse and i thought it was good,( It was on tv, not finding nemo ) And the pq was in my opinion very good,
I wont be buying one till the end of the month.
So untill then i will keep looking and reading.

I have seen the tiny plasma running on a decent interconnect playing back monsters inc.

    It looked ok.

But nowhere nearly as good as other plasmas. The extra few hundred pounds you'll spend on an LG RX11 or Panny PW6 makes for MUCH better picture quality.

yes i am bungus, forgot my password. although wont be doing bungus again cos i wrote it down now. ha ha.

As i am new, what is " dve " how much and where to buy.

Am i a believer in " seeing is believing " and the pw7 i have seen have been rubbish. thats not to say the arent just the ones i have seen.

now the pw6 is that not an older panny and is the pw7 a newer one. Therefore newer is better ?
you mentioned the lg, the Hyundai HPT4250 is a lg panel is that not the same ?
I did read your review and it is putting me off the hyundai's
so i am back to the beginning on what to get.
I maybe wrong in everything i have just said, How knows.

suggest you contact admin to sort that out then before you get banned for rule breaking (honest mistake and all that)
buy in powerbuy forum for £13 is a calibration disc, allows you set-up screen properly
Where have you seen them? go see a proper one
Not necassarily, cheaper to make not always better
Hyundai is Samsung glass as far as i know, the elctronics in a screen make a huge difference to the PQ

Your problem with panasonic is due to looking in the wrong place. If all you want is quality like your existing TV, we'd better know what it is, and if you have taken any trouble to set it up right. If you have a Beko and sky on RF go ahead and buy the tiny, you will be happy. If you have a quality widescreen TV on RGB scart from Sky, and a reasonable, ie £150 ish DVD player, then you will be sick as a parrot. I hope that seems logical, it is kindly meant also. Yes we are all up our own a***s about PQ here, but this is actually an attempt to emulate top CRT TV performance with a plasma, it ain't easy. The panasonic is the most like an ordinary TV, but it MUST be conncted correctly, and adjusted to suitable settings, if the ones you have seen are bad, something is missing. Never mind 6 or 7 series, they are not that different, in a blind test most dragons couldn't tell them apart...

Back on topic then.... I and almost all other forum members are convinced we could tell the difference between a PW panasonic and any re-badged samsung/LG panel labelled Tiny, Techwood, Hyundai, Vision, etc etc.with no other clue but the picture. They don't offer their latest panels to all and sundry whatever it says. It might well have been latest when they struck the deal, but likely that was 6 months or more ago. And of course the electronics are all 3rd party too.

Get it from a proper dealer and you will not be disappointed. You should get the help you need from them to get it right.

could you tell difference with a good quality DVD player connected via a decent component cable or is just sky that the pq difference is noticeable?...I have to say (albeit grudgingly) that the tiny looks great on dvd.....and I didn't have a Beko or any cr*p tv before ...I had (and still have) the Sharp 32JF-77H (100hz, comb filter, etc) and the panny dmr e55 and its as good as that combo.

but have you compared the TINY DVD performance to any other plasma? side by side they will look diiferent (what is important is that both are properly set-up)
