The standard Blu-ray steelbook is still available for £3.55:

It's two discs in the case, so unless there's a bonus disc with the UHD then you'd be able to just swap out the BR + DVD for the UHD + BR quite nicely.

I've not seen it yet, I'll hold off on watching my BR until the UHD is out.

Darn. I only watched this again recently.

Not a film i’ll watch repeatedly that often so a doubtful purchase. Really good movie though so if it were a 5* transfer…

Double darn. Just realised this is KL. I was praying for Children of Men :D

Amazing film, always loved the creeping slow panning shots, beautifully directed.

Have you seen the TV version? It does a much better job of capturing the original novel. The longer running time allows them to do that and Alec Guinness is brilliant.

I did indeed, watched the original, then read the book before seeing the film. Alec is superb, but in fairness, the film cast are all on top form, I also love the period setting and how the director made it feel old school, cant find a video clip, but his car scene was directed so well, something so eerie about his direction

It also has an excellent soundtrack, well matched to what's happening on screen

I really wanted to like this but I barely got through it on Blu-ray. Not a buy for me.

Good one time watch but I might buy this and play every night to get a good night's sleep. :rotfl:

I love this movie but will be interesting to see how the UHD turns out as it's such as deliberately grainy and desaturated film.

Surprised it has a 4K DI - according to IMDB.
I'm not sure about this one - bought on blu-ray some time ago - thought it was well made etc. but not really one of my 4K must haves.
But happy to see an actual non horror/super hero/space drama released on the format.

I’ll see what this Studiocanal 4K release looks like - not been fully convinced by them so far. If the reviews aren’t top notch (which they should be), I might order the KL release.

UK release date pushed back to December 20th now it would seem.
Yep, message from Amazon apologising for the delay.
Might still see it in time for Christmas with luck!
