    Hi all,

Anyone here use a timer switch for charging their EV?

I've got a Mitsubishi Outlander Phev and my bills are going up so want to make sure I'm making use of off peak electricity prices. I've seen a couple of switches online but want to be sure they will support the amount of power required and not sure tbh.

    Thanks in advance.

Can you do this via the car settings menu?

Not sure on Outlander, but most EVs have a screen where you set this.

Sadly not, the model above mine has an app which has this functionality so looking for another method of setting a timer.

    Thanks.

So long as you are using a cable with a 13A plug on the end of it just make sure you are using a timer rated at 13A.
