Ok its time to update my stereo speakers.
Budget is abit low however (£150,) I am a student so, its excusable :)
I already have a set of Eltax Jupiters 5.0 series and these are serving me very well at the moment but I want better stereo sound without my sub being used.
My favourites at the moment are Eltax Millenium 500.

    http://www.eltax.com/products/salg....&farve2=lightbeech&produktnavn=Millennium 500

At 103cm high 32 wide and 30 deep they are big but size isn't an issue(18.1Kg also...)...and at 94dB sensetivity they look like they will go loud easily, and be easily driven.

Has anyone got any more info. on these or can recommend any other stereo speakers in this range?

    Thanks...

Tannoy Mecury Mx1's get my vote, small stand mounts but excellent little speakers for around 100 quid.

Go 2nd hand if you're feeling adventurous. Try the classifieds here, or Ebay. You could pick up some sparkling Missions, B&Ws, Kefs etc for the budget you're thinking of.

There's some nice looking B&Ws for sale at the mo for £100 in cherry (see classifieds)

I have Eltax myself, from RS, and have been pretty happy with them.

Hi, with that budget there is no way around used market. But please give them a try before you buy anything.

There are some pretty good stereo pairs to be had for under £200 - Accoustic Energy & Monitor Audio spring to mind - bitof shopping around / haggling should sort it. Ex demo is another option - Audio Excellence & Sevenoaks websites have lists of ex demo kit.
