do any other sonicstage users find that when ripping a cd at 256kbps (atrac3plus) it seems to take an age to finish the process? almost equivilent to recording in real-time. or is it me? i've tried on a couple of pc's & it seems the same.

    Hi
All of my cd's are done at this rate and they usually take about 4 1/2 minutes each I think.
Sorry it's of no help to you but at least it's a comparison.

Try copying a CD to the HDD, if it takes a long time it'll point to the speed of the CD drive.
