has anyone played both and which is better ?
Being an owner of both games I think as a golf fan I would have to chose TW as I think its a bit more detailed but Hot Shots is great fun and very fast paced and you can complete a round in 15 mins.
TW edges it but either way its money well spent.
The reason that Hot Shots is fast paced is because Tiger Woods spends most of it's time loading. There's like 30seconds loading before each hole! (Well, more like 15-20).
Hot Shots/Everybodys Golf is a much better game. Sure, TW looks more realistic, but personally, I'd prefer a game be fun that better looking. Also, the analog stick is not designed for the type of control Tiger Woods uses. It's too hard to have an accurate shot as you can easily move the analog diagonally as well as straight. I've played both games, and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Hot Shots/Everybodys Golf is more fun, more challenging and a better gameplay experience. Plus the loading times are pretty good, almost instant between holes.
I have to agree with chrislad. HSG is far more fun, and easier to control than Tiger Wooods. The loading times drive me mad!
^^^ will be irrelevent when Tiger Woods 2006 comes out. Load times 10 sec or less, new speed putting mode, tighter controls etc. Google ppl
Thats why UK didn't get Tiger for launch, no point getting old '05 ver that came out in Jap/US, as '06 is out Oct 21st I believe
10 seconds between holes is still a lot longer than 1 second for Hot Shots. Either way, he was asking about existing copies, so the fact that Tiger 06 is coming out is irrelevant, and until I've played the game or seen it running properly, I wouldn't comment on loading times.
Hot Shots is a more fun game
