Has anyone got Tiger Woods for the PSP ?.

I have it on order with VG+ who say its not out until April 18th, but loads of people on Ebay are selling it stating "in stock now"

I emailed one such seller and he said that he had loads of copies in stock not ready for immediate dispatch.

    What is going on !!!!

I think it has something to do with Sony not producing enough copies so while some places/people got stock others did not.

I think its been delayed in Canada in general, I really think Sony are struggling to manufacture enough UMD's , guess thats the downside of creating a new format, but hopefully with a lack of piracy unit costs will be kept reasonable ( yeah right! ) :)

Really want to play Tiger, have Untold legends, Wipeout with Ridge Racer on the way, just need a good sports title to satisfy my golf fix :)

Wouldnt mind a mellow sports game, but yeah stocks seem low on TW. I've had an order for Wipeout for over a wek now too, but everyones been buying them up!

Corpsical: What's Untold Legends like? Pretty similar to Baldur's Gate or Champions of Norrath? I've heard the loading times arent so good, but does it really effect enjoyment, and is it actually a good game for a handheld?

I ordered it on VG+ on the 29th of March. It was on their website for release on the 31st, then moved to the 2nd of April, then the 12th and now the 18th. I really dont know what is going on with them at the moment. Play-asia have it in stock though.

I have tiger Woods here on Psp and its very nice indeed. All ya need for a mellow game of golf.Graphically its very nice indeed not as sharp has Minna No Golf(Hotshots) but still very impressive for a handheld convertion.Sound is also well done with birds tweetin away and the sound of the sea is very cool when playin on courses like Pebble Beach.Gameplay is as slick as ever and i dont have any problems with the thumbstick when swinging away in TW and only every know n then you will slice the ball.Theres lots to do in TW for PSP inc an excellent create a player feature with lots n lots to buy in the shop as well as many courses most of which are locked and need to be unlocked. So if its your thing or you want a mellow game to chill out with then Tiger Woods PGA on PSP is well worth a purchase.

    Hope this helps.

    G

I'm looking to get TW aswell. I've read that the loading times are shocking. Is that true? or are they acceptable.

    Cheers

Think eBay is your best bet unless you are willing to pay the £45+ most import shops will want for it.

They dont have stock though, have been keeping on eye on their forum and Craig has said the game is almost impossible to find so if you order it from the site you will be waiting awhile until you recieve it.
On the other hand Movietyme have some PSP games instock inside the UK like Twisted Metal for £25.99 delievered which is the cheapest I have seen it.

Tiger is great on psp. Have had it a couple of weeks now and its a great mix of 2004 and 2005. Loading times are realy not a problem as it is a slow paced game anyway. As already mentioned the initial start up load is the worst but in between holes and rounds certainly isn't a problem. It's still miles quicker than walking between shots in real golf, not to mention a million times more fun. If you rate the console versions buy this game, you wont be disappointed

I see that divineo.co.uk have it stock at the moment in very limited numbers.

Good company have used them before with no problems but their prices are a bit steeper than some others :thumbsdow but then again they post from within the UK so there is no customs to worry about. :smashin:

Might be of interest to some of u.

There is a big issue with manufacturing enough UMD to keep up with demand for the Movies and games.

This is the main reason European launch has been put so far back - they can make enough Consoles but they cant manufacture the software in sufficient numbers currently.

Still No sign of Fifa I have had it on Pre order for months......It was meant to be a US launch title :(

Got Tiger Woods from VG+. Took under a week to arrive and no customs etc. Great game. It does have long loading times (30 secs) between holes etc, but once in the game all is fine. Looks good, plays well. No complaints and would recommend both the game and VG+.

    hope this helps
