Do you need XB Live to connect?

Nope, first you register at www.ea.com/easports

next you get to the tournament section of ea.com/easports and you will see " The Current Tournament is PEBBLE BEACH
The Current Tournament Password is 123456"

Now in the Xbox game you go to "Online" from the various game modes, here you use the login details and password and you then play the tournament. The catch is you use a player of their choosing and the stats are very basic, this makes it very hard especially on long Par 3s as you can't reach without power boost.

Incidentally the courses you play on match the real life golf calendar, this Thursday the AT&T open from Pebble Beach starts, next week it's Torrey Pines and last week was Scottsdale...............next month it's The Predator :suicide: j/k

So when you've finished the tournment, does it give you another password to enter online? or can you connect directly thru the XBOX?

I had a look at this on the gamecube but someone had posted a score of 47 for 18 holes.........I've not a chance of getting anywhere near that.

I got my first hole in one last night though :)

Yes, after your 18 holes you get a long password which when you enter it on ea.com translates into your round statistics and score, very clever.

There is some controversy as to the validity of the scores submitted, mainly because you can restart the round at any time in an effort to better your score.

My lowest round during a Tournament is 44 at St Andrews as a lot of the Par 4s are reachable giving a good chance for eagles. I have 13 HIOnes and 3 Albatrosses atm.
