    Hi,

Using a combination of my ipad and airplay into my Marantz AVR is a great UI experience for Tidal (although wish i could use my nexus 7 as lighter than old ipad) but i can't help wondering if this is the best audio experience, since the ipad appears to be applying some amplification to the signal and clearly the Marantz does also, although i assume it is digital amplification by the ipad. I also can not find any information on whether airplay applies any lossy compression to the signal.

I have a amazon fireTv but Tidal is not on the store.

Using it on Kodi is a bit clunky, compared to the UI on the ipad.

Any suggestions? Also open to cheap purchases if this is the best option.

easy, go grab bubble uPnP from the play store on your nexus. you can access tidal from within the app. It will also use your existing tidal playlists. I use it on my OnePlus3 to play via my Hegel H160 (which I must say is an amazing piece of kit).
