i have read about the THX Optimizers on some dvds but can anyone tell were they are on a disc and do you need a thx dvd player to use them I have star wars AOTC and i have read it is that disc any help please

You are very confused.

THX optimizer is a series of test screens to set your brightness and contrast levels correctly to ensure that whites are not overblown and you can see enough shadow detail. There are sound audio tests too.

Usually if you go into the sound setup menu, there will be a THX logo to access the optimizer. Not all discs have it but Attack of the Clones certainly does.

Any standard DVD player will do, you don't need a THX certified one.
 
Many THX disks have it, e.g. Toy Story, Cast Away, Terminator 2, Monsters Inc, etc. Usually found in the Sound/Language set up menus.

There are lots of threads that list the various disks and talk about this in more detail, so I'd advise a search :)
